Front-end engineering design (FEED)

FEED fixes the process, the major equipment, the site layout, and the cost band well enough that a board can decide whether to fund detailed design. It comes after feasibility and before the drawings that a contractor builds from.
It covers the same pathways as the feasibility work: digestion, gas cleaning, upgrading, liquefaction, and the liquid-fuel and solid-carbon routes where those are the product.
