Preliminary design

Preliminary design selects the process and the main kit, and draws the plant at a level where quantities and risks can be argued. It is the step between a feasibility sketch and FEED or detailed design, depending on how the project is staged.
Deliverables are drawings, a basis of design, and a cost update. They are not issued-for-construction documents.
