Detailed design

Detailed plant design

Detailed design produces the drawings and specifications a contractor can build from: mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and civil interfaces. It follows FEED or an agreed preliminary design. On a large plant, holding those packages to one basis of design is design management. The instrument list, the trips, and the operator screens are the automation scope inside that package.

The design basis stays the measured feedstock and the discharge limit, including oxygen-demand data where the plant treats wastewater.
